FORT WORTH PUBLIC ART VISION STATEMENT | Public Art Helps to Define Fort Worth’s Character as a Vibrant and Sustainable 21st Century City by Celebrating its Storied History, Contributing to its Iconic Destinations, Shaping its Distinct Neighborhoods, and Honoring its Close Connection to Nature

Installed this month just in time for Juneteenth, artist Christopher Blay’s East Rosedale Monument Project recognizes the role of transit buses in the civil rights movement from the 1950s through the 1970s and connects the struggle for equal rights and justice from a national narrative to a local one. The sculpture will be located at 920 East Rosedale Street (at Veal Street).

Join us for the dedication of Gordon Huether’s Vision on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 10:00am at the Fort Worth Police Department South Patrol Division located at 3501 W. Risinger Road (76123). The seeks to evoke ideas of clarity, transparency, awareness and reflection that are essential to effective police enforcement today. The mirrored-finished stainless steel sphere is a timeless representation of the entire Fort Worth community and the people who serve it.

Located in the new roundabout at Last Vegas Trail and South Normandale Street, Right Turn Only by artist Mark Reigelman is a spiral created from hundreds of blue traffic arrows that twirl in on themselves and point toward the sky.
